Hello! I am living in Arizona and it so hot now. This workshop was a relief from the weather. Dehmie is so inspiring and I have been trying her hand-built projects out. I am loving the process!

I noticed that she did a lot of talking but didn’t thoroughly explain the process nor did she show the class how she used the templates. Compared with other classes I have taken from this site, the workshop Was a disappointment

It was intentionally designed to cover a wide range of approaches to the topic — so it moved quickly rather than going deep on any one method. I completely understand why that was frustrating if you were hoping for more detailed instruction. It's a good reminder that we can do a better job of setting expectations upfront so you know what you're coming into. I appreciate you taking the time to let us know!

I LOVED the workshop and have already attempted a bunch of handles, both pulled and cut out (and I really prefer the feel and look of the pulled ones for my work). I'm a newbie potter, and usually do layered, textured bowls and plant pots, but have been wanting to try mugs. The handle workshop opened a whole new world for me and I'm having a ball.

I found this session extremely helpful and learned many things about the construction of handles. The suggestion of a "handle date" in the studio and bisque firing handles to use as a reference in the future, are just two of the many highlights. I feel empowered to try new handle shapes that seemed like a mystery to me before. Handles are no longer just a necessary part of a mug; I see them as the jewelry that rounds out the whole feel of the design. Bravo! I highly encourage anyone who doesn't love making handles to take this course.

I love the short format. Two hours is the sweetspot for me, though I'd love to sit and watch people handbuild allllll daaaaay, This really works with busy schedules. Candice's workshop was super informative, and I walked away with some new "must-try" items on my bucket list.

I truly enjoyed and learned a great deal from the online workshop. I’m currently finishing some new pieces for an upcoming street art fair, so I haven’t yet had the opportunity to experiment with some of the techniques she demonstrated. After the show, I look forward to trying them.
