Makers' Spark Pottery Membership - Membership Coordinator:

We are seeking a part-time Membership Coordinator to help manage our Makers' Spark Pottery Membership, a vibrant community of over 150 passionate potters. This community is focused on the how and why of making good pots and is rapidly growing. This is a part-time, independent contract position, offering 15 hrs a month for the probationary period (first 2 months), after which the hours will increase to 20 - 25 hrs a month.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with community members and build meaningful relationships online.
  • Create and manage monthly challenges aligned with workshop topics.
  • Share your enthusiasm for ceramics within the membership community.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills during live virtual workshops and in the Facebook community.
  • Generate promotional images using Canva for membership challenges and events.
  • Assist with writing engaging blog posts and weekly membership emails.
  • Assist with operations, systems development, and member experiences.
  • Utilize various online platforms like Facebook, Canva, Thinkific, Google Drive, and Zoom.
  • Assist with monthly Q&A sessions to address member questions.
  • Process and upload workshop videos to our platform.
  • Collaborate on planning the membership workshop and events calendar.
  • Possess a working knowledge of ceramic processes to answer basic member questions.
  • Attend monthly workshops and share learnings with the community.

Additional Requirements:

  • Comfortable engaging with others about pottery making and sharing knowledge.
  • Must have taken a pottery class or workshop within the last year.
  • Proficient in online communication platforms and technology.
  • You must be able to work remotely and have a computer and reliable internet connection.
  • Growth-minded with attention to detail and a desire to grow within the company.
  • This position offers a flexible work schedule, with some evenings, and the occasional weekend.
  • This position will start with a probationary period of approximately 15 hrs a month for the first 6 weeks, working up to 20 - 25 hrs a month.
